Welcoming Nina Kraus to the KLI

We are very happy to welcome our Visiting Fellow, Nina Kraus, to the KLI.

Nina is a researcher in evolutionary developmental biology working at the intersection of developmental biology, comparative physiology, and philosophy of biology. Her research focuses on how environmental conditions regulate developmental processes and shape evolutionary trajectories, with a particular emphasis on the vertebrate heart.

Apart from her research, she also teaches at the University of Vienna.

Nina will be a Visiting Fellow at the KLI from May 1 to May 30, 2026. Her KLI project is titled “Constructed Environments and the Evolution of the Heart: An Evo-Devo Account of Environmentally Regulated Development”.

We wish Nina an inspiring stay at the KLI.
